Heart Valve Disease

Our Advanced Cardiac Valve Center is one of a few places in the U.S. that offers a full range of transcatheter and minimally invasive procedures for heart valve conditions, like cardiac valve disease of the aortic, mitral and pulmonary heart valves.

UVA has the largest-volume transcatheter aortic valve replacement center in the region and we have the largest-volume MitraClip program in the United States. We’ve performed over 250 transcatheter valve procedures, and this depth of experience translates to better outcomes for our patients.

For some patients, mini valve surgery can be an alternative to traditional heart surgery. Find out if mini valve surgery is right for you.
